Editorial Review for El Toro – by Citysearch Editors

In Short
There's nearly always a constant line at this venerable taqueria, with patrons drawn from the entire spectrum of the city's wildly diverse demographics. Though tables can be scarce, most diners are willing to share. The highlights among the vast menu include tacos and burritos. The building blocks for these Mexican stalwarts include four kinds of tortillas (from basic flour to red-chili); pinto, black or refried beans; ten meat fillings; Spanish or vegetarian rice; and four types of fresh salsa.

I went over there with a bunch of people, it wasn't up to my standards. So go somewhere else, if I've done anything for you this is it.

They hit the spot. I've tried many other places, trying to seek out that truly authentic, hole-in-the-wall place - but this one is consistently good (not to mention clean and friendly). If you want a solid burrito (lots of choices), go here.

Pros: best burritos, friendly, clean

Cons: parking
